Mr. Greer brings a unique broad knowledge and understanding of wireless systems to Jones-Petrick and Associates, LLC. He has 22 years of experience in communications systems research and product development and has been fundamental in the success of two prior wireless technology venture capital funded startup companies.  At SkyCross Inc., Mr. Greer served as the Vice President of Engineering and was the key individual responsible for creating a successful company from the initial startup phase and leading the company to revenue in its formative first three years.  As a result, SkyCross has become a leader in the design, development and manufacturing of next-generation embedded antenna technology for wireless telecommunication, automotive and mobile computing markets. While working at Harris Corporation from the early 1980’s through 1990’s, Mr. Greer was a key contributor to various programs involving communications signal detection and analysis. Because of this early experience, he has a unique and valuable understanding of communications signal fundamentals that can be directly applied to networking radio technology.  Mr. Greer is currently back at Harris, serving as Chief Systems Engineer for unmanned vehicles datalink applications.  He is leading Harris GCSD’s implementation of Secure IP datalink solutions using Type 1 encryption devices for U.S. government tactical UxV applications such as real-time streaming video and VoIP.   He specializes in all aspects of wireless network architecture design, including RF link budget analysis, data throughput, user maximization, and latency and congestion minimization. Mr. Greer has total of 15 patents granted or pending in relevant wireless technology areas such as wireless system infrastructure and RF antenna technology.  He is a distinguished writer and has authored and published numerous marketing and technical papers on wireless communications topics and technology. He holds a BSEE from Purdue University and MSEE and MBA from University of Florida.
